The Tidelands Trail - Cedar Point, NC
I know many of you are hunkered down just trying to get through the winter months. For those of us lucky enough to live here on the coast of NC, we do have some great things to do during the winter months. We love hiking during the off season months and generally the temperatures are good, and the mosquitos are asleep! We recently visited the Tidelands Trail in the Croatan National Forest. The trail winds through an incredible saltwater marsh offering nice clear paths, elevated walkways/bridges and the opportunity to see all sorts of wildlife including Ospreys and Bald Eagles! The trail is 1.3 miles and we usually do the loop, and then reverse it so we can get our steps in. There is also a public boat ramp if you want to get out on the water. If you are looking to get outside and enjoy a nice hike with awesome views, be sure to check out this trail! https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/north-carolina/cedar-point-tideland-trail
Until next time….Dave
